River God by Wilbur A. Smith

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The story takes place in 1780 BC in Egypt.

The narrator, Taita, is a eunuch slave who tells the love story between Lostris, the wife of the Pharoah of Egypt, and Tanus, the commander of the Pharaoh’s army.

As historical background is the Hyksos invasion of Egypt.

Once you start to read this book, you won’t be able to put it down, believe me. The plot is fast paced and one never gets bored.
