Review: Les Vacances de Maigret by Georges Simenon

Les Vacances de MaigretLes Vacances de Maigret by Georges Simenon

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

During their holidays in Sables-d’Olonne, Maigret’s wife is hospitalized with an attack of appendicitis. While visiting his wife in the hospital, he receives a strange note to go visit the patient’s bed 15.

From then, Maigret is involved in the investigation of a murder of a young woman of 14 years and the subsequent disappearance of her brother.

A story full of mystery and suspense with one the best Maigret’s performance.
