Study of a WomanStudy of a Woman by Honoré de Balzac

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Written probably in February 1830, this tale was published in the periodical Mode in March of the same year, signed as: “The author of the Physiologie du marriage.” It has suffered largely the same avatars as Madame Firmiani: October 1831 included in the novels and Romans et Contesand stayed in Scenes de la vie parisienne in 1835, under the title of Profil de marquise, and in 1842, with its title in the Scenes de la vie privee.
